Claire works in the Insurance Litigation team at Backhouse Jones since she qualified in 2008. In July 2013 she became dual qualified and therefore is also able to practice in Scotland.
A large proportion of Claire’s case load is defending road traffic claims for Bus Operators or Logistics Companies. This includes claims involving personal injury, credit hire, and accident damage.
In addition, Claire has a number of Uninsured Loss Recovery claims, in particular dealing with loss of standing charge for bus operators. She also assists clients in recovery claims where the accident has occurred abroad.
In 2018 Claire also qualified as a Notary Public. There are only 730 practicing Notaries, and the role of the Notary Public is to authenticate and assist in the use of documents abroad.
Away from work Claire has a love for everything outdoors.
