Catherine is a solicitor at Backhouse Jones, having previously worked as a Paralegal in the Regulatory department for several years. In that role, she gained valuable experience assisting solicitors across all aspects of O-licensing, public inquiries, and criminal, health and safety, and transport-related prosecutions.

In a previous career, Catherine qualified as a barrister and completed pupillage at a London set specialising in Family Law in 2012. After working in a range of roles, including for a medical regulatory body, she took a career break to start a family before returning to law in 2022.

Catherine qualified as a solicitor in June 2026 via the SQE and has also obtained Higher Rights of Audience in the Civil and Criminal Courts.

When she’s not working, Catherine has two young boys and two not-so-little dogs who keep her busy!
