The Office of the Traffic Commissioner (OTC) recently sent a circular confirming that on 16 September 2024, it is moving from their current address at Hillcrest House, 386 Harehills Lane, Leeds to new premises at Quarry House, Quarry Hill, Leeds, LS2 7UE.
Backhouse Jones has a long history of representing operators all over the country, but particularly at Hillcrest House in Leeds. Jonathon Backhouse and his brother James, first came here with their father in the early 1990s and today brought Laura Campbell, one of our trainees who will soon qualify and be bringing her own clients. But sadly not to this room. This court room is finally closing its doors for a new chapter in a new location.
The move affects all licensing teams within the OTC and the teams handling public inquiries for the North-East of England.
The last public inquiry will be held in Hillcrest House on 16 September 2024. For a short period, public inquiries will be held at other venues in the local area. If you are called to attend an inquiry, please ensure you read the letter carefully and follow all instructions in the letter. Inquiries should start to be held at Quarry House during October 2024. Please ensure that you follow any instruction given in your letter, including the need to show photo ID to gain entry to the building.
Also, from 16 September 2024 any correspondence for the licensing team or North Eastern Traffic Area Hearing Centre should be directed to Quarry House. However, telephone numbers are not affected.
Goodbye Hillcrest House!
If you have received a calling-in letter form the OTC, please contact our regulatory team as soon as possible here.
