It is worth noting that the DVSA’s “Enforcement Sanctions Policy” has been revised. The changes include additional information regarding offence numbers for annex 1C smart tachograph and the tachograph section being split between EU and International Road Transport (AETR) rules.
DVSA officers refer to the “Enforcement Sanctions Policy” when dealing with offences at roadside checks. Action can range from warnings; prohibition notices and fixed penalties.
