Joanna graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with an undergraduate degree in Law, before going on to study a Master of Laws in Legal Practice (LPC LLM) part-time at the same university while working at Backhouse Jones.

She joined Backhouse Jones in May 2019 as a Regulatory Secretary, later progressing to the role of Paralegal in September 2020. In March 2023, she commenced her Training Contract, completing seats in Commercial Litigation, Insurance Litigation and Corporate & Commercial. She qualified as a Solicitor in March 2025 and is now part of the Commercial Litigation team.

Outside of work, Joanna enjoys travelling, reading and spending time with friends and family.
