Julia joined Backhouse Jones in 2010 and heads up the Business Development team, a team that sits firmly at the heart of the firm.

From shaping business strategy and developing the BHJ brand, to leading marketing, events, new projects and client initiatives, Julia and the team are involved in just about every corner of the business. They are often the first port of call when a new idea needs bringing to life or when something miscellaneous needs sorting!

A first-class honours graduate from Lancaster University, Julia has always had a keen eye for marketing, branding and the importance of building strong, lasting client relationships. She is at her happiest connecting people, developing ideas and, perhaps unsurprisingly, talking.

Her role combines commercial thinking with creativity and a healthy dose of curiosity. She is passionate about ensuring Backhouse Jones continues to evolve, stand out in the market and, most importantly, remains closely connected to the people and businesses it serves.

Julia is mum to identical twin daughters, married to Mark (also at the firm) and life currently operates at full tilt.  Outside of work you will most likely find Julia shopping or planning a holiday!  One thing is certain however – she will always be chatting, making connections and thinking about what to do next!
