Laura joined Backhouse Jones in 2008, began her training contract in 2010, and qualified into the Employment Department in 2012. She has been a key member of the team ever since and is now an Associate Director.

She specialises in employment law and has developed a strong advocacy practice, regularly representing clients in both the Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal.

Laura has also appeared in the Court of Appeal, notably acting for TUK (formerly Abellio).

In addition to her casework, Laura leads on trainee development within the Employment Department – a role she particularly enjoys and takes great pride in.

Laura was part of the original team that launched the firm’s BACK on Air Friday webinars and continues to contribute to client briefings, legal updates, and industry events covering the full spectrum of employment law.

She holds a 2:1 in Law (LLB Hons) from Liverpool John Moores University.
