The Department for Transport has recently published the findings of their review into Heavy Vehicle Testing.
The review, carried out from September 2020 to December 2020, was intended to examine whether the current testing system is suitable and fit for purpose.
The final report was drafted following input from a stakeholder panel including Department for Transport (DfT) officials and stakeholders from industry including CPT, as well as the Traffic Commissioners, DVSA and other road safety bodies.
The review has identified areas where improvements are required and has made recommendations for changes to be made to the testing system.
