EU residence documents – 30 June 2021 deadline

Further to the UK leaving the European Union on 31 January 2020, the old style EU residence documents such as UK residence cards, permanent residence cards and derivative residence cards are only valid until 30 June 2021.  This is because from that date, the newer pre-settled status and settled status applies.  These are not granted automatically and anyone who only has an old EU residence document should apply for a new status by 30 June.
