PSV operators take note – the forms used to apply to the traffic commissioner for new registrations and short notice dispensation have changed. Operators in England and Wales should discard any old forms and use the new ones from 8 March 2023.
This is because the Bus Services Act 2017 introduced changes to how local bus services should be registered. The main changes relate to Enhanced Partnership Schemes and Franchising. The new forms have also been designed to allow operators to complete them electronically, and revised forms for variations and cancellations will also be introduced in the coming weeks.
The new forms can be found here. If wish to submit anything relating to local bus service registrations you should use the new address of: bus-registrations@otc.gov.uk
