Richard has an impressive career spanning over 34 years. His specialism is dealing with Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence matters, in particular road traffic accidents along with fatalities and accidents in the workplace and in public. Richard is also well versed in handling Professional Negligence matters arising out of injury or Clinical Negligence claims. He was a member of The Law Society’s Negligence Panel along with the Law Society’s specialist Personal Injury Panel for a number of year and has also been on the Headway referral list.
Unusually, Richard acts for both claimants and defendants and through this experience is often able to have an understanding as to how the other side may approach the claim. He has also been involved in a number of significant Inquest cases over the years.
On a personal level Richard’s formative years were spent in the North East however ventured west by studying law at Bristol University and then to the Chester College of Law. In his spare time his interests include Parkrun, walking his Labrador, travelling to Scotland, Northumberland and the Lakes and following the mixed fortunes of Sunderland FC and Somerset Cricket Club.
