Emily has worked at Backhouse Jones since July 2019, starting as a Paralegal in the Regulatory team.

She initially gained a First-Class degree in Journalism from the University of Central Lancashire in 2015, before studying for a Graduate Diploma in Law, followed by a master’s in legal Practice. Emily started her training contract at Backhouse Jones in September 2020 and qualified in September 2022.

Emily is a valued member of our Corporate and Commercial Departments, drafting and reviewing contracts and assisting the Head of Corporate, Brett Cooper, with buying and selling businesses.

Outside work, Emily has several interests including having gained a black belt in karate.
