Emily has worked at Backhouse Jones since July 2019, starting as a Paralegal in the Regulatory team.

She initially gained a First-Class degree in Journalism from the University of Central Lancashire in 2015, before studying for a Graduate Diploma in Law, followed by a master’s in legal Practice. Emily started her training contract at Backhouse Jones in September 2020 and qualified in September 2022.

Emily is a valued member of our Corporate and Commercial Departments, drafting and reviewing contracts and assisting with buying and selling businesses.

Outside work, Emily has several interests including having gained a black belt in karate.
