Charlotte qualified as a solicitor into the Regulatory Department in 2022.

Charlotte specialises in regulatory road transport law and is regularly involved in Public Inquiries, Preliminary Hearings and Driver Conduct Hearings before the Traffic Commissioner across the UK. She advises operators on regulatory compliance and enforcement action brought by the DVSA and police, including maintenance systems, driver training and management, health and safety requirements, and all aspects of the operator licensing regime.

In addition to her regulatory practice, Charlotte has 12 months’ experience working within the logistics sector with a 400+ vehicle operator, giving her first-hand operational and commercial insight which informs a pragmatic, industry-focused approach to regulatory and enforcement matters.

Charlotte also has experience in Magistrates’ Court proceedings and regularly assists with matters arising from Health and Safety Executive investigations, including Coroner’s Inquests, as well as supporting cases before the Crown Court.

When she’s not at work, Charlotte is usually busy with family life, from after-school activities and helping on the farm to caring for her dad… with the occasional Tesco run thrown in.
