Charlotte began her career with Backhouse Jones in 2018, qualifying as a Solicitor into the Regulatory department in November 2022.
Charlotte now regularly undertakes Public Inquires, Preliminary Hearings and Driver Conduct Hearings before the Traffic Commissioner across the UK and undertakes in-depth Operator Compliance Reviews with written reports detailing process recommendations on maintenance systems and drivers’ hours, and driver training requirements.
In addition to this, Charlotte deals with Police Interviews and cases before the Magistrates Court, inclusive of careless driving and matters in relation to Section 172 offences.
Charlotte comes from a farming background and her father is a HGV driver, therefore she has a natural understanding of the haulage and farming community. Outside of work Charlotte has her own flock which she farms with her son Ralph on her father’s farm.
