As the Secretary of State for Transport, Grant Shapps, announced last Friday, the requirement for drivers over the age of 45 to complete a medical examination and submit a D4 medical report when renewing their vocational entitlement has temporarily been suspended.
The application process, however, remains the same as usual. Drivers are therefore reminded of the importance of sending their renewal application to the exact address and postcode shown on the application form (DVLA Swansea, SA99 1BR) to ensure the application is received by the appropriate team dealing with applications from workers vital to the COVID-19 response and is properly prioritised.
