The Government has recently announced the increase in the compensation limits available for Employment Tribunal awards and other statutory payments which will take effect from 06 April 2024.
Some of the most notable changes include:
- The maximum compensatory award for unfair dismissal increases from £105,707 to £115,115.
- The limit on weekly pay applied in the basic award for unfair dismissal, statutory redundancy pays and award of compensation that is due to an employee after not having been issued with written particulars of employment that comply with the statutory minimum requirements increases from £643 to £700.
- Statutory guaranteed pay for periods of lay off or short time working increases from £35 to £38 per day for the first five workless days in a three-month period.
