  • Paralegal - Employment and dispute resolution department

    Job purpose

    We have an exciting opportunity for candidates who are interested in pursuing a career in the legal industry.  The paralegal role will include working alongside experienced solicitors and paralegals in the employment and dispute resolution department. It will be largely office based, but may require travel from time to time, including client meetings and attendance at Court, or Tribunal. The successful candidate will ideally have a degree. The role requires an individual who is able to work closely with others but have the ability to work on their own initiative and have the skill to prioritise appropriate tasks and manage time effectively.

    The successful candidate will have the opportunity of a long-term career with a highly regarded legal practice.

    Role responsibilities

    • Assist with the preparation of routine and complex employment tribunal and commercial dispute cases
    • Research on various points of law and basic drafting of documentation, correspondence and advice
    • Drafting and producing legal documentation and standard forms
    • Taking instructions from clients over the phone, video conferencing and in person
    • Creating bundles and other documentation for hearings
    • Providing administrative support to solicitors

    Essential qualities:

    • Appropriate Further Education qualifications
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Motivated and proactive
    • Good time keeping skills
    • Ability to work in a team
    • Excellent organisational skills
